Mittig unterhalb der Darstellung betitelt, ferner links mit "J.D.L. Franz Wagner n.d. Nat. lith." und rechts "Druck b. Gebr. Delius" versehen. Oben links um "Dr. W. Peters Naturw. Reise nach Mossambique" und rechs "Säugethiere Taf. XXXVII" ergänzt. – Naturalistische Bildtafel aus dem prachtvollen Werk "Naturwissenschaftliche Reise nach Mossambique" von Wilhelm Carl Hartwig Peters, erschienen in Berlin bei G. Reimer ,1852-1882. Der Naturforscher, Zoologe, Anatom und späterer Zoodirektor Peters erforschte von 1842-1848 Teile Zentralafrikas und veröffentlichte sein Forschungsergebnisse in diesem Werk, das er mit lithographischen und Stahlstichtafeln illustrierte.

Blatt im Randbreich wenig vergilbt. Naturnahes Kolorit. Im Ganzen gut erhaltenes Exemplar.
