(1833 Kassel - 1911 Kassel). Deutscher Maler, Landschaftszeichner und Lithograf. Erlernte zunächst die Kunst der Lithografie. Danach Studium an der Kunstakademie Kassel. 1851 Umsiedlung nach Berlin, wo er Landschaften und Architekturbilder lithografierte und für den Holzschnitt zeichnete. Theuerkauf illustrierte für die führenden Magazine 'Illustrirte Zeitung', 'Die Gartenlaube' und 'Über Land und Meer'. Schuf Ansichten zahlreicher deutscher und europäischer Städte. Beschäftigte sich ab 1875 mit Aquarellmalerei. Ab 1890 an der Technischen Hochschule Berlin in Charlottenburg als Privatdozent für Aquarellieren sowie Architektur- und Landschaftsmalerei. 1895-1904 Professor für Landschaftsmalerei.
