Zu den bekanntesten Werken, für die er Illustrationen anfertigte, zählen "Meyer?s Universum" (1833 ff.) und die "Galerie Europäischer Städte" (1845 ff.). Kurz gilt als einer der produktivsten Stahlstecher seiner Zeit.
