(1815 Hersbruck - 1883 München). Deutscher Kupfer- und Stahlstecher, Architektur- und Landschaftszeichner, Maler und Verleger. Mitarbeiter von Gustav Georg Lange und Geschäftspartner von Johann Poppel. Zu den bekanntesten Werken, für die er Illustrationen anfertigte, zählen "Meyer?s Universum" (1833 ff.) und die "Galerie Europäischer Städte" (1845 ff.). Kurz gilt als einer der produktivsten Stahlstecher seiner Zeit.
