(1774 Lausanne - 1850 Zürich). Schweizerischer Maler, Kupferstecher und Radierer. Nach der Umsiedlung nach Zürich erlernte er beim Maler Matthias Pfenninger die Technik der Aquatintaradierung. Radierte zahlreiche Illustrationen für Neujahrsblätter, Almanache und Bücher. Seine Stiche gelten heute als wertvolle Quelle für die Geschichte und Topografie der Schweiz im späten 18. Jahrhundert.
